when you look back on it, I think Asami fell in love while they exchanged letters. She's a brilliant person and probably enjoyed the pages and pages of Korra being open and vulnerable. I felt that vibe shift.

oh absolutely, that why she wrote korra. she knew korra might not answer, but she loved her. she didn’t follow her because korra asked her not to. she waited 3 years for her to come home. and i think when korra came back and realized the love was there, just mixed with frustration and lost time she fell deep.

I don’t hate their relationship but I also feel like it took away from Korras journey (I’m talking only the show not the books, as they had full say on what they wrote). I didn’t realize they were together till I saw an edit.. Why would they constantly have Mako and Asami together in season 4 and have korra and tenzins last scene together talk about how all she cares about is learning more to become a better avatar just to go explore the spirit world, leaving the people she literally just saved and claimed to want to help more 😭😭😭😭😭
