This just happened to me but the other way around. All of the texts, the I love you's, the kisses, the cuddling and then one day distance and needed space. 2 days later it was over and not even a phone call. Just a text saying our personalities were too different. Gotta love being blind sided

Men in the comments. We know the difference between an intentional man and one that’s giving bare minimum, but gives enough to keep you hopeful. The guy that did this to me was terrible with anything that got deeper than just surface level conversation, but would get upset when I pulled away and when I brought up concerns he felt like they were “attacks”. I appreciated everything he did in the relationship, but as soon I got emotional or started to match his energy? He would pull back, and feel pressure. I honestly didn’t even know how to show up that I reached out to a guy friend, and he found the messages and he went through my phone while we were on a trip in Florida. And he left me there bc he thought I was “cheating”. So much manipulation, and frustration on my part because I spent months trying to trust his intentions. We saw each other every weekend, spent holidays together, but when things got tough, he’d run away. I don’t think this girl is saying she gave up? He was likely doing just enough to keep her attached but not enough to make her feel safe.
