@dershpiel: Elon Musk praised Israel’s approach to protecting its citizens, saying repeated attacks have taught the country to take threats from violent extremists seriously. Speaking with Walter Isaacson on “The Builders,” the Tesla and SpaceX boss said neighboring countries had repeatedly tried to annihilate Israel. He described Israel’s approach as “quite pragmatic,” saying Israelis understand the danger of admitting people who intend to k!ll them. Musk argued that Western countries should also screen out violent extremists, while acknowledging that many Muslims are reasonable. The interview was released yesterday and recorded in August.
