i think people mean well with their comments but i’m sure you have tried many different treatments and tricks, i think you’d know your skin better than anyone. also many people forget that everyone’s skin is different so what may be breaking you out, works perfectly for someone else.

Honestly, sometimes I think makeup can help acne! We are less likely to pick at or touch our face when we are wearing makeup. It’s almost like a little barrier. Makeup is absolutely not the root cause for getting acne🫶🏼

as a 26 yr old woman who only started struggling with acne in my adulthood it is so extremely frustrating! i hate the “have you tried…” comments - like queen i promise you i have tried literally everything. i have very sensitive/reactive skin and my acne is 98% hormonal i definitely understand your frustration babe 🩷

as someone with acne who wears makeup, i understand your frustration girl 😭. i’ve been given so many recommendations that works for other people that breaks me out and not them. everyone’s face is different, and when we struggle with hormonal acne, it’s so hard to find a solution.

This is weird but I stoped washing my face unless I have makeup or like a yucky day and mine got better. Mine just doesn’t like a bunch of fuss. Everyone is different.

Have you tried spironolactone for acne? It’s very mild and works wonders, at least in my experience! And it’s cheap. I was prescribed it by a dermatologist but a regular doctor can prescribe it as well! I know you said you didn’t wanna take a med for it but truly it was life changing for me and I had no other side effects. Just a thought!
