The one time my dad went for a run on a paved frequented trail, a buck runs out of the brush and HITS HIM. Both were on the ground confused. He’s also 6’2”.

I’ve only ever hit deer in cars that had deer whistles on them. They can already hear your car coming, especially in the dead of night. High beams are what blind and disorientate them and lead them to running towards you.

I just blast bass heavy music. They hear me coming a long ways off and get out of the way before they panic and freeze or flee.

I got a note. Do they actually work? I’ve heard some people say they work and other saying attract them I thought about getting one for my horse trailer for my truck that pulls my horse trailer cause I had to run in with a deer and I’d like to not do that again😂

I live in Indiana. Middle aged. Have been hit BY A DEER TWICE. Yeah they’ll be going Forest Gump fast through a field & slam the shit out of the side of your car. And get up & run away

Just have a vehicle that’s loud. My tires are loud in my truck and I haven’t hit a deer meanwhile my sister has hit a deer in just about every vehicle she had. They were all so quiet. She has a truck now lol. I have a car now too. I make eye contact with the deer and swear on there mama to stay put. My methods have somehow magically worked bc I have never hit a deer

Unfortunately deer don’t care about a whistle you can have a whistle or speakers on the outside of the car and they’ll still jump in front of it. They have escape routes planned in case they see a predator and a lot of the times they think of your car as one so they try to get back across the road to escape.
