wait he cashed his retirement? meaning his 401k? He cant do that unless you signed a document. 401k has very particular rules. To exclude a spouse your spouse needs to sign an exclusion form. You got this, hang in there. I went thru a similar experience. You'll be alright. keep fighting!

How are yall getting jobs after being SAHM for 30yrs? I'm 65, have nothing to put on a resume, have chronic pain and am beginning to think escaping the abuse wasn't worth it when I now can't afford to live

Surprise! :
All within a year I was married, bought my first house, got separated, had to move, lost family and friends to mental health issues, my father died. They say 3 major events can cause a heart attack. One day I remember getting up from the couch but dont remember how I ended up in another room. That happened twice before I realized I was so overwhelmed and terrified. I took a month off and did art therapy from 5am to 1am for 30 days. Stopping only to eat and shower. By the end of 30 days I filled 5 art books with very detailed drawings, but my mind had time to process and I felt mentally free enough from fear to live again. It took 2-3 years before my whole body let that go and start feeling the smile showing more and more on my face. Today, I feel amazingly stronger in my mind and body, have so much more patience with myself and others. The best thing I did for myself was go easy on myself, yoga and walking. I had no friends when we bought our house but found one great friend to do things with once or twice a week and she heard me express questions I was never going to have answered. My long time friends checked in on me. I valued that the most. I feel so much stronger and happier than ever.

I’ve been watching since day 1 as well. On top of commenting for u to get paid I must ask - where the hell IS HE??? Like how do men think they can just “leave” 30 years and FIVE kids?????????? I mean - leave to WHERE (that he doesn’t have to look over his shoulder)

Husband of 18 years dumped me at 48, 7 years on I’m so happy he did. I was so ‘grey’ with him and now I’m colorful and youthful following my passions and having so much fun. Only wish I’d dumped him years before.

My 1st husband left me after 16 yrs for one of my coworkers/friend. The kids were 4 and 9. It was such a hard time in my life but you’ll get through the trenches and come out so much happier. Ended up being a blessing because I was content but not happy for several years. It’s hard not to think it’s somehow your fault but I assure you it’s has all to do with them and NOT you!! I’m remarried and been together for 18yrs and have gained a bonus son and now 2 grandsons. There’s hope for you and I know you’ll grow even stronger once you get on the other side. Love watching your videos.

I can share my story. How should we best share? My ex abandoned me and my kids when they were 6 & 8. Dead of winter. No oil in the tank. No money. I was broken and terrified. Worst days of my life. But we got through it and my kids are so strong and amazing. They learned to be problem solvers and very successful. 🙏🏻❤️

Women uplifting women. I’m the one that left my husband after 25 years together. I found him smoking meth. My sister died from her addiction and I had already gone through his pain pill addiction with him. It was the straw that broke the camel’s back. It was scary and hard. I almost lost my home, had to file bankruptcy, BUT I survived and eventually I thrived! I’m married to an amazing man now and life is good and it’s easy. We travel and are planning to retire in 2 years and travel more frequently.

My husband of 15 years left. After 2 years he completely left and did not have anything to do with me or the children for years. I have raised them on my own for almost 15 years now. They are teens and one is 21. They were so small when he left. You do not realize how strong you are until you go through something like this. I promise you have got this. God has been my ultimate strength and guide through the whole process.

I was 55 yrs old and divorced my husband after 28 yrs of marriage. I was in the thick of menopause, experiencing every horrible symptom. My first grandchild had just been born and was 5 hours away. I was in my 34 yr of teaching and the schools had just opened back up to in person teaching. That was awful Everything was falling apart in my life. My alcoholic cheating husband had separated me from my siblings and parents. I had no one and thought I was going to die from the shame and overwhelming guilt of a failed marriage. A “good Christian wife” should have tried harder and forgave more. Almost 4 yrs later and I’m so happy. I did weekly therapy for a full year. My daughter and her family moved back home, I now have 2 grandbabies. I retired from teaching with my full pension and I kept the house. I reunited with my parents and siblings. My sister saved me when I was drowning and couldn’t think straight. She took me to the bank to open new accounts, changed the locks on my door, booked get aways and handed me tissues as I cried. I’m so strong and can do anything by myself now. I’ve never been happier. Truly. And that ass is shocked that I never call, he thought we were going to be friends. You can do hard things. This time next year, you won’t recognize yourself.

I propose people send you their success stories and you can read them in little videos (of course people who agree with you sharing them). A lot of us dont really read the comments when we watch videos while working or doing other stuff, but it would be interesting.

Today is day 26 for me. He ended our relationship over FaceTime while away at work. He comes home tomorrow. It’s been 5 weeks since I’ve seen him. Not looking forward to it as I have so many unanswered questions.

Yes! Love this idea! My husband left and moved out 5 months ago and bought a fixer upper in the woods. He is so mean to me and after 13 years married treats me like dog s***. However my home is peaceful again and my kids are thriving and are happy and now we have to co-parent and that’s the toughest part. He manipulates everyone.
