@cnn: Rhoam Summer, the 5-year-old who was among the four victims fatally shot at an Oregon elementary school, is the youngest person ever killed in a deliberate mass attack at a US school, according to his family's attorney and experts who track school shootings. The littlest victim, his two classmates and a teacher were gunned down by a former student Thursday in a classroom dedicated to children with special needs at Silver Rail Elementary School in the central Oregon city of Bend. It was the 36th shooting in the United States this year on K-12 school grounds, according to CNN's analysis of multiple databases, including the Gun Violence Archive. "No child should have to experience or worry about violence in their school or parent fear for the safety of their kid in school," one of the family's attorneys, Tim Williams, told CNN. In a statement, Rhoam's parents, Kelik and Lillian Summer, recalled his kindness and asked people to draw in his honor. "Rhoam was not a child art prodigy, but he had the purest heart and he put love into every scribble, splash or paint, or smashed leaf he tried to shape," they said. 📸: From Dwyer Williams Cherkoss Attorneys

“Gods plan” funny how people still believe in god… “free will”… but god is all seeing… so he saw those happen and did nothing…

My heart goes out to Rhoam Summer’s family. 💔 No parent should ever have to experience the pain of losing a five-year-old child, especially in a place where children are supposed to feel safe and protected. Rhoam loved dinosaurs, sharks, dancing, storytelling and his stuffed animals. His family described him as a joyful, generous child with a vivid imagination. He should have been looking forward to Halloween, making friends and discovering the world—not becoming a victim of gun violence. Parents send their children to school trusting that they will return home safely. This tragedy raises serious questions about school security, access to firearms by minors, and how warning signs can be recognized and addressed before violence occurs. It is important to support the grieving families, but communities and policymakers must also examine practical ways to prevent future shootings, including secure firearm storage, responsible gun ownership and effective school safety measures.
Rhoam’s parents have asked people who want to honor him to draw or paint in his memory, reflecting his love of art and storytelling. Rhoam should be remembered for the little boy he was, the joy he brought to his family and the life he deserved to live—not only for the terrible circumstances of his death. No family should have to endure this kind of loss, and no child should have to fear going to school.
💔 May his family find strength and comfort, and may his memory inspire meaningful efforts to protect other children.

So abortion is considered illegal because it’s “m*rder”, but the same child that we are forced to have, ends up being a victim of actual m*rder in a school shooting, because of lack of regulation on gun control.…from the same people who consider abortion m*rder….make it make sense!

Even if it’s rare, children and teachers are still dying, it’s not the rareness of them that matters, it’s the lives that die is what matters

I don’t understand. Literally we know evil will always exist. But instead we are dim enough to say “ummm if we make it illegal it will stop cus no one breaks the laws ever and if we make guns illegal bad ppl won’t sneak and keep them and hurt all the ppl without guns!!!” Like that has never once worked and we know bad ppl won’t stop because we ask so how come we don’t protect our children?? Like we protect our banks better than our schools. There is no excuse for that. I don’t care how you think the world should be because this is how it is and our kids deserve better and the teachers should hold a gun and be able to protect the kids. Plain and simple. There have been 0 massacres at gun shows and there would be 0 school massacres if we did the same thing and had more guns to protect good ppl from bad ppl. This is only happening from a lack of defense.
