@anyi.manchester.u: 🚨Nico Paz on Como’s approach against Manchester United: 🗣️ Nico Paz: “Cesc told us that Manchester United have quality, but if we gave them time to settle, they could hurt us. So we focused on playing with courage, moving the ball quickly and making their midfield work hard. “The plan wasn’t just to defend deep and counterattack. We wanted to control the spaces, especially in midfield. Our forwards pressed intelligently, while the midfielders covered the passing lanes and forced United into uncomfortable decisions. “Cesc was clear that our distances had to stay small. If the forwards pressed alone, United could play through us. If the midfield pushed up while the defence dropped back, they could find space between the lines. We had to move together as one unit. “When we won the ball, our first thought was to play forward quickly, but with control. We wanted to attack the space behind their midfield before they could recover. The important thing was not to let them reset comfortably. “If I received the ball between the lines, I had to be brave and attack. Against a big team, you cannot simply admire their reputation. You have to make them defend, run and feel uncomfortable. “We also tried to create doubts by rotating positions. I could drop deeper, Lucas could move into the half-space and the winger could stay wide. That helped us move United around until gaps appeared. “The defensive side was just as important. When we lost the ball, the nearest player reacted immediately while the others closed the central passing lanes. We weren’t chasing randomly; we were guiding United into areas where we could win the ball back. “We respect Manchester United, but we didn’t come here to be impressed by their badge. We came here to play our football, win our duels and make them respect Como.” “And if they give me space outside the box again, I won’t be looking for a pass.” [ This is the source @UTD_Seth001 ]#mufc #manutd #manchesterunited #creatorsearchinsights #capcut
