@kbbyongg: A fierce wave of backlash is crashing over #HYBE and BIGHIT MUSIC following their handling of the malicious deepfake scandal involving #TXT member #Soobin. Following the spread of unverified, explicit AI-generated photos and rumors targeting Soobin on Chinese social platforms, fans expected an immediate legal statement to protect the artist. Adding fuel to the fire, a male influencer who previously studied abroad in Korea addressed the situation during recent livestreams, claiming that he and Soobin were dating, that he didn’t know Soobin was an idol at the time, and that the screenshots came from a video he filmed. However, it must be emphasized that THIS IS STRICTLY THE INFLUENCER’s UNVERIFIED CLAIM, as none of these assertions have been authenticated or confirmed by official sources. Instead of issuing a legal update or defending Soobin from severe online defamation, BIGHIT MUSIC triggered widespread fury by continuing business as usual—releasing promotion schedulers and pre-order notices on October 21 for TXT’s upcoming comeback album Perfect Storm. Outraged supporters slammed the agency for “deliberately ignoring” the mental well-being and social standing of a victimized artist just to push album sales, demanding that HYBE suspend promotional activities until a strict legal action statement is officially issued. — ©️KBBYONG
