@antdaviscyber: Websites across Europe went dark on purpose today after two critical PHP flaws. Only 1.3% of flaws found with AI tools have been seen in real attacks, but this one affects a huge share of the web. Check your PHP version and ask your host if the fix is in. Was a site you use down today? #PHP #WordPress #CyberSecurity #CyberNews #techtok
Cloud engineer here, had to login during the night to check if we use PHP😂😂

I tried to patch our server, so many people were trying to do it at the same time that the remote update servers were fucked. Turned off the DNAT put my coat on and went home.

And here I am thinking what I built was useless a multi-language infrastructure that morphs/swistches between languages automatically when a language is affected, essentially causing no downtime, because even a simple website has dual morphing ability that dances between languages when needed 😌

If you’re using cloudflare they already have a mitigations in place to stop requests hitting your origin server that are exploiting this vulnerability. Check their recent blog.

there's a storm coming, and those in the trenches are gonna feel the pain. if any company isn't forensically analysing their infrastructure it's gonna hurt bad. the SSL certificate time length is already gonna be 47 day replacement not too long from now. I am swamped

I'm Dutch and today was not a good day, when the first sites started going dark tons of customers started calling to also take theirs down as a precaution even when the patch was released. I feel like there was some unwarranted fear being spread.

It will speed up. AI finds new vulnerabilities, companies patching everything with AI, adding new vulnerabilities, that can be found... the cycle has been already there, it just got faster with AI. IT sec will make it big in the near future.

they recommended taking them off the public Internet for the time before patches were available. every site that went offline after patches available just showed they can't do a minor update fast enough

i’m glad that Cloudflare deployed protections against the php2shell vulnerability automatically to help prevent this being exploited before the organisation could patch this

cPanel, shipped updates to 7.4 upwards - something if a mistake imo. Rather than forcing older users to update, the prolonged the risk. But cPanel users should be protected soon if not already
