I think a lot of the experienced esthis aren’t keeping up with new info and ingredients OR they can’t tell what info is sound. Skincare is constantly evolving and you have to know what sources are valid. I think because I have a (unrelated) science background it’s easier to tell which research is sound because we had to evaluate white paper studies but sometimes it’s still hard to know if what we’re seeing is legit information. A lot of them are regurgitating old or invalid data.
