@sharon.a.life: It’s so weird coming out of survival mode. I’m finally finding my footing and it just feels like I live in bizarro land. I love it and also it’s very disorienting. Here a few things that I wish I would’ve known. I think just knowing would’ve helped. #survivalmode #holdon #lifeishard #uplifting

Been in survival mode for three years, still ongoing with no idea when it’ll end. Thank you for this, makes me feel less guilty for the days I only have enough energy for the bare minimum.

Also 2 years out— but midway though my dad died and reset the whole process. I’m just now having days where I feel like me again.

I’m 22, and finding your page has been a defining highlight of this season of my life. Recently, when a coworker and I discussed who we look up to, yours was the first name that came to mind. Growing up with an addict father and a narcissistic mother, I was forced to grow up way too fast, and now that I’m finally an adult, I often feel like I’m navigating life without any real guidance or a safe place to vent. Your page has become my "mom-not-mom" space, providing the kind of honest, real-life advice I never had growing up. Being involved in "grown-up" conversations as a child was my normal, but listening to you now feels different it’s actually constructive, practical wisdom rather than just chaos. Thank you for being so authentic and unfiltered you’ve truly become a mentor figure for me. I often struggle with anxiety about the future and what my life will look like in five years, but your content has brought me so much peace and perspective. I’m so grateful for your honesty. Thank you Sharon, I hope you have a peaceful rest of your week & give yourself some grace today❤️YOU are phenomenal. Also massive congratulations for kicking ass at Harvard, so proud of you queen❤️

some days you just have to embrace the suck. also an easier way to do gratitude Journal is to list things that don't suck, not necessarily things you're grateful for. because that can be hard to find sometimes

For me: Not having kids, having a helpful spouse and money fixes pretty much everything. Not my chronic illnesses (helps us pay to manage it), but virtually everything else

I needed this today. so many people in my life keep validating that the stuff life is handing us right now is NOT normal and anyone in my place would be struggling and that on the outside it looks like I'm holding it all together so we'll 😭

thanks for this. while I hear all of this from my therapist, hearing "you're not broken" said so casually and confidently during a time when my inner critic is working overtime and I feel like I'm regressing sent me into instant tears in a good way.
