The devs who made the games - which made Bioware famous - are already a thing of the past. The remaining devs and writers - are the ones who ruined BioWare - focused more on political agendas - than making a good game and optimizing it properly. That being said, BioWare was already dead. So, I'm actually glad they made it oficial. Those people don't deserve a job in a gaming company.

what has ea done lately? it takes 2, Mass Effect: Legendary, dead space rm, jedi survivor, split fiction, bf 6 are the only notables in 6 years...hazel ight is an indie studio. the only one they let do whatever they want. dead space was a perfect remake and they closed that door cause they were not happy. bf 6 they tried to kill by getting they hands on it + firing a ton of devs.... do they know what they want?

Feels like a pattern, does it not? Bigger company buys out an indie studio. They poorly run the studio. Suck the life and soul out of the workers. Lay off or drive away the key talent. Eventually studio is a former shell of itself and doesn’t produce the hits like they used to. Studio gets shut down. I have no comment on the last few BioWare titles and I am sure they employed many talented and dedicated workers. But when you have a company like EA, Ubisoft, Take Two, etc. as your corporate overlord then you're eventually going to wind up like BioWare and so many other studios we've lost in the past.

EA is never going to give BioWare's IPs to anyone, they're too greedy, ever heard of Alice Madness Returns? Yeah, McGee (the creator) has no rights to the game and even though EA considers the game as a failure they refuse to give it away...

Truth is, the BioWare that helped CDPR died a long time ago. The people who made that studio the Titan it was left and started new ventures. So it realy isn't the same studio anymore. Obviously still sad to see such history end like that tho. But they were on Life Support for a very long time.

That unfortunately depends on EA being willing to sell the original Bioware IPs, and I wouldn't put it past them to hang on to them just so no one else could make a success from them..

i really don't think it was fully Bio ware's fault either. They were being pressured by EA, and they lost a lot of talent in the studio and EA expected huge things from a shell of a company. I want a new Mass Effect and Another shot at Dragon Age too, even if the last one had a lot of hate the main story was still decently solid that they can easily build a new world off of.

Sad for the people working there but Bioware definitely wasn't the studio it was, supposedly 50 people on Mass Effect 5 so EA definitely didn't have faith. I think the IP's should be sold off but EA don't usually do that.

That really sucks. I fell in love with Mass Effect not too long ago. I thought it was going to be a game I'll play and forget but I love the game for all its beauty and all its flaws. I hope they somehow recover but that's wishful thinking.
