Former parking enforcement officer here! the offices are VERY corrupt! I was reprimanded for ticketing city officials (they didnt have their pass noticeable in the window and didnt always follow their own rules) was told not to ticket certain college cars, though was told to harass students on certain back streets. they also treat their employees horribly and publicly shame them within the office meetings instead of 1 on 1 talking. they also dont properly uniform their officers. she "ordered some" for me (they never showed up) and I got to pick from leftover abandoned uniforms. I also stopped working there because I rocked my ankle twice in different sidewalk craters. and we were told there was no quota but if we didnt ticket x many people we would get yelled at. they also don't care when the public tries to hurt you, the cops dont care either. I was almost run over, I was spit on and screamed at by the homeless because I told him I was I working (writing out a ticket at the time and I was concentrating) instead of telling him my name he followed me around for hours to harass me and the city did nothing to help or assist me they just told me not to go near him even though main st was where we were supposed to stay visible most times.

Concrete cancer is a symptom of the chemicals we use to deice surfaces. Cement is porus and that stuff eats metals like crazy. This is why we use green rebar now in construction since its treated and doesnt get degraded as fast, this is an older structure pre chemical deicing so it is just naturally susceptible to it. But even Fate and nature didnt want picture main st. to go through so its an upside, and given they likely have to build a new one we can get a more modern and larger structure to handle the parking traffic northampton struggles with come the shopping season.

Northampton city is disgraceful. The negligence is absurd and unacceptable. Yes clear out these fools and get people who care in power. This is why people become republicans. Because the democrats only care about separation of race and gender. Not the roads and infrastructure and taking care of everyone. Sick of it.
