@writeonwithmissg: Spooky season is the easiest time of year to sell a reluctant reader on a book. 👻 Kids who roll their eyes at independent reading will suddenly be SO invested in a story about a killer clown in a cornfield (of course lollll). So this Friday, skip the Halloween movie and run a spooky book tasting instead! No horror shelf in your classroom library? No problem. The digital menu does the work for you. Students click each title to check out the cover, the summary, and a free ebook or audiobook sample, then jot down which ones they want to read next. The menu is stocked with YA thrillers and horror they’ll be OBSESSED with, and there are two versions: one for middle school and one for high school. All you have to do is project the menu, put on some spooky music, and watch the “wait, can I borrow that?!” requests roll in. (Bonus: you get a to-read list from every kid in the room, which makes book recs SO much easier for the rest of the year.) It works for grades 6-12, and it’s totally no-prep. You can find it in my TPT. Let me know if you have any questions!
