@drcharlieward54: Lock them all up and throw away the key. A billionaire banker who was charged with bribery wanted a pardon, so his family handed Alina Habba a deal worth more than $50 million while she was working inside Trump's Justice Department. Weeks later, he was pardoned. Venezuelan banker Julio Herrera Velutini was indicted in 2022. Prosecutors accused him of helping tund the Puerto Rico governor's reelection campaign in exchange for getting rid of a regulator who was investigating his bank. In late 2025, his daughter launched a company in Florida called Concord Partners. It has no public profile, and nobody can say what it actually does. It hired Habba, who was advising Attorney General Pam Bondi at the time, on a contract worth more than $50 million over four years. Not long after, Pardons-for-Sale Donald gave Herrera a tull pardon. He pardoned the governor too. Habba denies having any role in the pardon and won't say what her job actually is. People familiar with her contract told The New York Times they believed she was brought in to help get it, and they were stunned by the size of the paycheck. And the family didn't stop there. His daughter gave $3.5 million to Don the Con's super PAC and pledged another $2.5 million to his White House ballroom. Before that, her entire history of federal political giving was $20 to Pete Buttigieg. A watchdog has asked the FEC to investigate whether that money was really her father's. Foreign nationals are banned from donating to American elections. The White House insists the money had nothing to do with the pardon. Sure, and a $50 million job nobody can describe is just a generous offer.
