Grading data from PSA also shows similar trends, with Charizard, Pikachu and Mew being the most graded Pokemon and things like Gengar, Umbreon Psyduck etc not far behind. So there is some reinforcing and crossover of the data there too. I do have one question: how far back did the sales data go for each individual Pokemon? Because over years there have been dramatic shifts in popular pokemon, as an example squirtle cards were largely unpopular until a boom in 2016/2017, or how Gengar cards had very little movement (like most things in Pokemon) until 2020. Just curious how far back this data went.

I remember Jaiden animation took a tour of the card facility in Japan. The director told her he prints his favorite pokemon. ☠️that’s why gengar is printed often. He said it’s his favorite pokemon lmao 😭

I want to know how they decide what artist does what Pokemon in each different set. Can you run data on the different artists? Some popular ones are completely skipped in some sets and then reappear later. As an artist master setter, some data on this would be super helpful.
