I moved to Boca at age 18 from up North! I’m almost 41 now. I love it here….. not the people though. You can’t trust ANYONE here. I wish I could say it’ll get better, but it doesn’t.

I was born and raised here and it is extremely difficult to find trie friends in South Florida. I moved to Central Florida for a while and the people were so much friendlier. I’m now back and living in Deerfield Beach. The majority of the friends I have now from South Florida, I met at church. Specifically, Calvary Chapel but my ideas on church have changed a lot now. There are some gems out there so don’t give up. Typically from other states. I’m here if you ever wanna chat. Just know you’re not alone.

Raised in FL and yes it’s VERY hard to build community because people are very cold. I’ve moved to Austin and it’s been so easy and i’ve met so many people made so many friends through community events like volunteering, recreational sports, and run clubs.
