I don’t have a single friend and I’m so lonely. The last 2 friends destroyed my life, I lost everything except what I was wearing and my dogs, and CPTSD. I’m also neurodivergent, which seems to make people uncomfortable everywhere I go. I have a good heart, I work in hospice, I’m an introvert. I want and crave connection that’s different from my man. I just don’t know how 🤷🏻♀️

60. I have 1 friend. We mostly text memes and get together for lunch and maybe shopping 1x per month. Sometimes I think I’d like more friends, then I get exhausted thinking about leaving the house.

I am 54 and it is definitely hard to make friends. of course it doesn't help that. I'm very self-conscious of myself and think that no one would want to be my friend anyway

I joined some social groups at meetups and then joined toastmasters. My sister started going to seniors centres and their events when she was 55. Also the legions have events. Maybe just look for groups to do things with and let friendships happen

I, too, am a socially awkward 58 yr old, and chronically introverted. I moved to a new town 2 yrs ago, and know no one. I joined a local quilting guild, a local photography group, and a Bible study this year, and I feel hopeful about two of the ladies I’ve met.

New Brunswick here. After a life with lots of ‘friends’, I now have none. I know A LOT of people but that doesn’t make them friends. Makes you reflect on what my life really was when it came to friends. It’s kind of sad. I just want one or two friends who I feel safe to be myself with. I’m tired!…and don’t want to have to mask ANYMORE or live up to others expectations. I want to be able to say no if I don’t feel like doing something and not be given a hard time. It’s very lonely at times, but the alternative is too hard, causes me intense overwhelm, and is too exhausting! 🫂
