Dawn has some denatured alcohol in it. That’s what breaks down many pressure sensitive adhesives. Isopropanol generally works.

You should try holding the scraper so it’s more horizontal- you’ll have better luck catching the edges when you scrap.

WD40 is not a degreaser. It’s a water inhibitor. Dawn breaks up polymer chains ie grease and glue and oil etc. goo gone is too gentle. I would have recommended ZEP or awesome sauce but dawn works.

for other options to try if dawn doesn't work in the future, odoban makes an air freshener that used to be labeled a degreaser, and it has lifted so many things for me while also smelling great and not effecting the surface.
