However, the costume in this series features a square neckline with the sleeves connected to the chest section, which differs from the traditional Thai clothing styles I have researched. Although Northern Thai and Shan cultures share historical and cultural connections, their traditional clothing styles also differ from the design shown in the series. Traditional garments are often draped diagonally across the body and over the left shoulder, rather than featuring the same square neckline and connected sleeve construction.
