@lapdhq: When Jaqueline Perea's brother was murdered 13 years ago, she stood alongside LAPD detectives, passing out reward flyers and hoping for answers. She never imagined that one day she would wear the same LAPD Badge. This year, Jaqueline Perea achieved her lifelong dream of becoming an LAPD Detective. In a full-circle moment, one of the detectives who helped her family during its darkest days had the honor of pinning on her detective badge. Now, she aspires to become a Homicide Detective, using her own life experience to comfort other families as they navigate tragedy, seek justice, and find closure.
