To me you were rich if you had one of those costumes. I had handmade costumes. One was a gypsy, one was a jail bird, and another was a hobo.

Bull. There was always at least one parent with us. And there was a lot of in between. Sometimes you just dressed up in your mom’s bathrobe, put curlers in your hair and that was your costume.
