@averykroll1: talking about adhd and how it shows up in my life is so vulnerable but so important. If I can make one girl feel seen that’s all that matters to me ♥️#adhd #adhdawarenessmonth

If I’m already laying in bed but the lights are on, I’ll go to sleep with the lights on bc initiating the task od getting up to turn them off feels worse 🙃

Omg my stim is biting my lips or the inside of my cheek and since filming videos I notice it so much watching back and I get so insecure like STOP doing that 😂 also I wasn’t diagnosed until early 20s because I was so shy and quiet with no stereotypical symptoms but knowing more now really helps understand yourself better lol thanks for being open & real 🫶🏼

Time blindness is so insane. I’ll literally already be in a rush like I need to leave the house in 5 mins then as I’m wrapping up, trying to leave I’ll kept getting distracted & forget that I’m in a rush 😭

I do a lot of these but the repeating reminders or tasks or words until whatever it was is complete is big for me.

100% agree! I have SEVERE combined type ADHD and the day I was diagnosed (20 yrs old) felt like coming up for air for the first time. I went from hating everything about myself to loving who I am almost immediately. A vast majority of my insecurities were from symptoms of my ADHD. I became a better employee, went back to school, and I have been able to build healthier relationships with food. Understanding why I am the way I am has helped me improve and grow while also giving me so much peace in the things I can’t change. ADHD & Autism is GROSSLY under and misdiagnosed in women/girls and even when they are diagnosed correctly most high functioning women aren’t diagnosed until their early-mid twenties! I have almost every symptom of AUDHD and when I told my mom she didn’t believe it. 4 years later my dad and 6/7 of my siblings are diagnosed on the spectrum and/or ADHD. The 7th says “no point in a diagnosis when we all know I have it” lol turns out my mom didn’t believe me because my symptoms were so normal to her
