My dad was admitted into hospice and given 72 hours. His final rights read, his final goodbyes. One by one all of his kids blessed him with holy oil that had been blessed in Rome. Within 10 minutes of the last kid blessing him, hasn’t spoken or moved in over 24 hours , he sits straight up, asks for his shoes. He would like to go out to eat. He was kicked out of hospice for not dying on their timeline. He went home and passed away peacefully 6 weeks later after getting back on the lawnmower and mowing the yard how he always loved.
