Right there with you. The number of times I’ve signalled a merger, only to have to driver behind me in that lane immediately speed up because clearly driving is always a race and you lose if anyone is in front of you. It’s especially frustrating when you’re coming onto a highway in a merging lane, meaning your lane will soon be ending so you could be run off the road if you can’t merge and they decide that that makes no difference to them. It took me decades longer than it should have to to work up the courage get my learners because I dreaded the idea of learning to drive in this fucking city. Like it gave me genuine anxiety.

thats not how turn signals work. just cause you signal diesnt mean I need to get you in. also if you cut in front and end up crashing into the person.. youd be the at fault party

Yes , if you are ahead of me in the next lane so that I can actually see you signal and your intention. I will make space and let you over. But if you are like the other dummies that are door to door with me where I can't see your signal and expect me to teleport out of your way you can get fucked lol. Also ppl a little courtesy in traffic goes a long way. :)
