I took it for 30 years and decided to stop after getting repeat SIBO and terrible brain fog. GI dr said the good outways the bad so keep taking it. When I moved to Fl my GI dr did a fundoplication. No more heartburn! You have to be your own advocate!

I take pantoprazole. took omeprazole for 3 days had the worst constipation. I like pantaprazole and pepcid if I get very flared up

PS :
I took this drug 20 years ago for a bleeding ulcer. I went from normal bones to osteopenia to a fracture in L1 with no injury. Dexa scan done and it showed severe osteoporosis -4!!!!! Also, affecting my hip. I can’t have surgery as my bones will shatter. So…..if you are taking this you are wheelchair bound.
