For the people that’s confused. Understand this: I went to that hospital for the entirety of my pregnancy and they ACTED on board with the VBAC up until I got there in labor and immediately tried to pressure me into the c section with a bait and switch. Nothing was wrong with me nor the baby. Fast forward, they LIED on me and said I was trying to unalive by attempting this VBAC. Their psych doctor found that was a lie, then they turned around and said I was trying to unalive the baby and called the state attorney who called a judge. They kept me in court for 3 HOURS and denied me an attorney. Furthermore, they DOCUMENTED in the chart the baby’s heart rate was down for 7mins which is how they were able to activate the court order to give me a c section against my will. We have the fetal monitoring strips, the baby’s heart rate was not down for even 1 minute let alone 7. They lied . Again. Either way, they should not have called a JUDGE to force me when I explicitly stated I didn’t want a c section unless it was an emergency. Hope this helps.

my Dr was at a wedding when I went into labor with my youngest. the on call Dr tried the same thing with me. my MIL worked next door to my OB and found out where my OB was, went and got her and rushed to the hospital with her. my OB got arrested fighting for my rights so I sent my brother's to Bail OB out. we took a picture of her holding my son and holding her mugshot together and I'll forever be thankful for my OB and MIL fighting for me when I couldn't.

I’m on the opposite side of the spectrum when it comes to this. I went to the hospital at 37 weeks, a Sunday morning, was throwing up bl0ody 🤮 (I had HG, I threw up my entire pregnancy) My Ob had gone on vacation the night before. The two MALE on call OBs, were adamant on me pushing. I was in labor for FOUR DAYS. I begged for a c-section day 2. Refused to give me one, I knew something was wrong. My OB that I had seen all my pregnancy, finally came back that Thursday evening, day 4. Seen me for 5 minutes and immediately started prepping for an emergency C-section. My son was trapped in my birth canal because the cord was wrapped around his neck. There’s no telling how long of the 4 days he was like that. When I gained some recognition after the c-section, he was placed into my arms. I held him for all of 2 minutes before nurses came rushing in saying my son’s blood sugar was dangerously low and was at risk of slipping in a coma. We spent another 4 days in the hospital after he was born just trying to stabilize his sugar levels. It was because they wouldn’t let me have anything besides ice chips and broth the entire 4 days I was in labor. I KNEW something was wrong and they brushed me off because it was my first baby. My son could have died in my arms, I could have gotten an infection. All because two MEN thought they knew better than me.

I woke up from surgery to find the hospital had given away my baby while I was unconscious it took 1 and half years to find her and get her back. they took the word of my ex boyfriend that I wanted to give away the baby. I'm sorry this happened to you, I pray you get the justice most of us never get!

I don’t care what the situation is, a woman should ALWAYS be able to choose what to do with their body. No matter the risks. The fact that other people can make that decision or try to is absolutely insane

I remember when you first posted and the outrage I felt. You get to decide what’s best for you! You weren’t denying your baby medical needs. Not nearly as traumatic, but I had a crazy leading up to birth story. So I didn’t have a primary doctor, a nurse pulled me aside and said to get a notarized letter for the hospital stating if it was between me and the baby, I choose myself. It was a Catholic hospital and there was no father, only my sister with me. They said they wouldn’t listen to her because she wasn’t the father, and if anything were to happen, they always choose the baby. When I walked in and gave them that letter, I was questioned and given looks by certain nurses

my dr tried for months to shame me into one saying my baby was going to be 12 lbs and i was going to mess up his shoulder. i refused, delivered natural 8lbs 8oz in exactly 1 minute. almost pushed me into that shit for absolutely no reason

Government needs to stop dictating what happens to a women's body. They are NOT a doctor. They have NO medical degree. Healthcare for EVERYONE should be a patient/doctor relationship not Government, Insurance, Middleman, Doctor, Patient, Middle man, rx obtained from the Middle man relationship
