As a nurse i have seen so much pain and suffering, in kids babies etc. There is no way there is someone out there and allowing that

I am a widow at 42… I’m 44 now and I literally watched my favorite person in the world turn into a lifeless body. Our world view does not include a higher power in how it is generally accepted. How I get through is, I know I have a finite amount of time here on earth and it is a moral and ethical responsibility for me to be the best that I can and to do the best that I can. I am a part of volunteer groups. I work in helping profession. I try to leave the world a better place which is also how my husband lived.

i hold onto the faith i have within myself because ive proven time and time again that i CAN get through the tough times. in those seasons of life i prioritize self care, sleep, and have a pretty awesome coping toolbox after years of therapy to regulate myself when im feeling it most. as someone who was raised in christianity and is now deconstructed, i always found it so hard to have faith in something that wasn’t concrete. i tried so hard growing up to “feel” jesus but it never felt authentic. what has brought me more peace than anything is the evidence from my life experiences where i wasn’t afraid to get my hands dirty and work through the struggle and adversity. it’s never easy, but my record shows im capable no matter what gets thrown at me.

I lost my one year old daughter and never felt the need to change my lack of belief in god. If there is one I don’t blame them for it or anything but also? I rescued myself. Me and my husband clung to each other, I had a therapist who walked along this with me and we’re still here.

This family in my town fosters/ adopts kids they have 12 kids rn & they just lost everything and the churches are on the front line battling this with them! Also the only reason everyone of them made it out is bc this guys gps rerouted him down the road & he saw the house & stopped had his son call 911 & he went and got everyone up! God is good!!!

The days are long and sometimes excruciatingly long, however seasons are short! Sending love and hugs as we navigate seasons of pain, suffering, and also joy. Remember even in seasons of hardships there are still glimmers of joy in every day. Like in this video you helped someone keep their kiddo safe! 🎀🫶🏽

Not a religious person here but me personally, I get by with the support from those around me. I lean on others rather than leaning on God and ask them for guidance. I remember that I wanna get through the bad seasons to get to the good seasons for myself but also for others. I think it’s a similar process of putting your faith into someone but for me it’s putting faith in those around me in the physical realm rather than the spiritual. I admire the courage and determination those of faith have when getting through tough times and reading religious texts to help them, I don’t know that I’d have the mental energy to read in those moments. You’re such a strong and insightful person, you got this!!

Cameron, I love your content and think that you are a great person. I grew up in the catholic church. But here’s the thing, I do not believe in ANY entity. Do I think that there is SOMETHING out there that created us? Yes. But I don’t know who it is, and there has not been a point to solidify that. I don’t qualify myself as an atheist. Because I do believe something created us. I do not need Jesus or God in my life to tell me what is morally right or wrong. Or how to take care of my home, and animals. I just know that I am a good person and live real life morally without someone “telling me” how to do it.
