@foxnews: "I think it's disgraceful." Vice President JD Vance is calling out WNBA players who leave the court during the national anthem, arguing that protesting political leaders shouldn't mean disrespecting the entire country. Players from both the Atlanta Dream and Golden State Valkyries have skipped the anthem during the first two games of the WNBA Finals, despite league rules requiring players to stand and line up during its performance. Vance says the athletes have plenty to be grateful for, and he's making a broader argument about what Americans owe their country.

Under the "Basic Principles" section of the official rulebook, the policy states: “Players, coaches, and trainers are to stand and line up in a dignified posture along the sidelines or on the foul line during the playing of the National Anthem.”
