@dev.rice: I’ve spent my entire life believing there’s more good in this world than bad. Despite everything we see on social media, in the news, and around us, I’ve always had faith in humanity. But when something like this happens to someone you love, it hits differently. To steal from someone who works so hard for everything they have is beyond disappointing. It’s selfish, cowardly, and something I’ll never understand. I genuinely hope those responsible are caught and held accountable. But what has stuck with me the most isn’t what happened. It’s how my sister handled it. Instead of letting someone’s terrible actions ruin her day, she chose to keep smiling, keep moving forward, and focus on the good that still exists in her life. And that, to me, says everything about the kind of person she is. I love my sister more than words can explain. She deserves the world, and watching her handle something so unfair with such grace honestly makes me admire her even more. Life is going to throw things at us that we don’t deserve. People will disappoint us. Bad things will happen to good people. But we still get to choose how much power those moments have over us. Don’t let someone else’s bad decisions take away the good in you. Keep spreading love. Keep choosing kindness. Keep believing there are good people out there. And most importantly, never let the ugliness in this world change the beauty in your heart.
