Yes… in July… had lots of concerns going in but felt better than expected after- very minor discomfort- not pain. Keeping up with stool softeners is important… u can do it!!! 💪🏻

The fear is worse than the surgery. Accept help from people. Take it slow. Remember no one is same so don’t feel bad or compare yourself to others if they heal faster. Give yourself a ton of grace

I’m 2 weeks postop and let me tell you, I feel so much better now than I’ve felt the past 5 years. Yes, I’m very uncomfortable, but no longer in pain. Although I feel better I’m still sitting my butt down and taking my 5 minute walks. You’ll be fine. Rest, hydrate and take it easy. While you’re down, you’re not missing out on a thing. Reconnect to self! Best of luck to you ❤️

Best thing I’ve ever done for myself (and my family… I’m happy again!!!!). My biggest tip is to seriously take 6 wks off. You may need it, you may not. Your body might feel great at 2 wks, or even the first week, but there’s some DEEP Tissue healing that happens all the way through 6-8-12 wks. Rest. Enjoy it. And start some miralax powder early! I started a week before and ate light. Had a super easy 2nd day BM, which relieved a lot of pain & pressure I was having. You’ve got this! And if u remove your ovaries, start HRT right away!

had mine Tuesday. not using the narcotic meds, but still don't have real pain. just soreness in the muscles they went through, and that is managed well. it's not the same for everyone, but for several of us, I've found, its not so bad. I had 3 hour hysterectomy, Endo excision, uretolysis, and multiple specimens taken for pathology. Im wishing everyone a healthy, comfortable, and beautiful recovery experience, no matter what theirs looks like.

I’m 13 days postop and I am really surprised at how well I’ve been healing and I am a sucker for pain. I have very low tolerance and I’ve been saying this since I got out the hospital… my biggest advice would be stay on top of your pain meds take them even when you don’t feel the pain .. take stool softeners before you have the surgery.. and after the surgery, drink, hot tea and ginger ale to help with the gas other than that, enjoy the recovery rest relax and heal🫶🏽💪🏾

9 days post opp and I’m here to tell ya: it’s gonna be okay! You’ll wake with some swelling and pain, but it’s manageable and each day is better. Meal prep or meal train will make life easier if you’ve got family to feed—your appetite might not be big. Two pieces of advice I hadn’t come across: 1) prep your space by putting stuff you might need week 1 in easy to reach places to reduce bending. 2) get some big granny panties, or even post natal stretchy disposable ones (unless commando is your style). I wore nightgowns and giant undies up to my boobs for a week to keep pressure off my belly but still feel supported and covered. I was scared but it’s been so smooth! You’ll do great!

start taking the stool softener at least 2 days prior. Gabapentin is the best for pain!! Eat your fiber and drink plenty of water!!

mine went perfect. I walked right after they wheeled me into my room. I was sore, but it was much easier than I thought. I have 0 regrets or complaints.

We all heal differently. My advice is get you a good belly binder, a hysterectomy pillow. And get the rest you need. Walk as much as you can. ❤️‍🩹💐

I had zero post operative issues. moderate pain first 3 days handled with Tylenol followed by moderate discomfort for 10 days, like tender poke holes and feeling full. went about my normal daily routine at the second week. day 13 was the turn around with no discomfort, back to work and life was good. released at 6 weeks to full recovery.

Hi unsure of your age, I was 26 when I had mine. but just take it slow! Don’t rush! Surgery went well for me and healing was good, I worked from home my first few weeks. The only pain I had was my back.

When is yours? I’ve listened to the comments and have gotten everything I need. Well most, I still have a few things to get. I go in on 11/16. 2 weeks and 6 days left. I’m scared but I’m ready to get back to normal. I feel like I suck as a mom now to my 3 yo. She doesn’t feel that way, but I do.

Give yourself 2 weeks and you will feel so much better! I had a total hysterectomy in May. Use the belly binder. Most hospitals provide these! I bought a small cart and put everything I needed on it like medicine, books, snacks, etc. saved me from having to get up constantly. Take stool softeners because the pain pills will stop you up. Trust me!

2 weeks post op and feeling great. First 48hrs are rough. Take the pain meds miralax and sleep. I was off meds by day 3. Heating pad, binder, and hysterectomy pillow. Gas will be the biggest struggle. You got this 💪🏻💕
