Paddock, who was previously jailed in 2013 for similar offences, used the Kik messaging platform to champion the sexual abuse of children and trade illegal files with other paedophiles. When police raided his home in June 2024, officers seized a mobile phone holding more than 1,500 Category A images and videos—the most severe classification—depicting the rape and sexual torture of girls aged between four and nine. Paddock admitted making and distributing indecent images of children, possessing extreme pornography, twice breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, and failing to comply with sex-offender notification requirements.
