@sfstandard: San Francisco just recorded its first overdose death involving MGM-15, which is derived from the psychoactive plant kratom and found in products marketed as “cat’s claw,” or uncaria tomentosa. MGM-15 can pack 15 to 50 times the punch of morphine. Although the California Department of Public Health banned products containing kratom and its potent derivative 7-0H late last year, they remain widely available across gas stations and smoke shops. it's crazy to see that label. most people would not read that and conclude that it was a synthetic kratom-derived substance. it says 400mg, but doesn't clearly tell you, 400mg of what?

Cool let’s just glaze over the WHY people are searching for these gas station “remedies” while opioids are being denied to like 90% of pain patients who need them. Pain management is suicide prevention.
