In the past they’ve been nice reminders for municipal elections I didn’t know were happening lol, but mostly I just use them as warning signs about people’s political views. My neighbour still has their Conservative sign up from the 2025 federal election. I judge their vote and dislike them even though we’ve never spoken because that MP won. The fact it’s still up though makes me feel better about my own procrastination. The signs are out control right now with municipal and provincial elections on back to back weekends in BC. The amount just feels wasteful.

I’m not a fan of the signs because of the waste it generates. That’s all going to end up in a landfill somewhere.

My parents used to have a sign war on our own lawn. Small to large and on the blvd.

In the late 90s my dad voted for progressive conservatives and I voted for liberals. We both had our different signs on the lawn. My dad was so cool about me learning what party I liked and fully supported two signs sitting beside each other.

I feel like nowadays, the song on the lawn and who they choose to support really tells you something about the people living in that home. Politics has really divided society.

I totally judge. And if a small business owner that has a home based business has a sign out that goes against my morals, I make a mental note not to do business with them in the future.

There wasn’t always such a difference between liberals, conservatives and ndp. Now being a conservative is associated with being a bigot. I would argue before trump, people wouldn’t judge their neighbour so harshly. Now? Oh yeah everything is political now.

I've lost friendships over political positions lol so 🤷♂️😂 I'm okay with upsetting a neighbour. I usually end up pissing them off by deconstructing their weird sketchy arguments over and over again... So 🤷♂️bring it on

I’ve lived beside f Trudeau flags a few years back. I don’t have issues with those conversations. Sometimes you have to give them a mic. Thank goodness that’s over. My hubby doesn’t like signs out. I’ve seen lots in my neighborhood. I’m in small town Ontario.

I definitely judged some of my neighbors based on this. And I know some have judged me because they stole/vandalized my signs.

Oh Maud, you don’t need signs in France, they will flat out tell you 😅😅 the old lady just told me I should advise my friends to not steal since she knows I’m one of the good ones 😅😂

If I learned my neighbour supported a party that sits at the same table as nazis, misogynist, xenophobes, or with people that support the suppression of any minority group, yeah, I’d have an issue, and they’d know about it.

Around the time of the US election, a friend I was quite close with said she would trust Trump with her kids than Kamala. Oh and she actually had good things to say about Andrew Tate. I distanced myself from her after that.
