holy spirit got nothing to do with Gabriel. you will not find a single verse in the Quran where holy spirit is mentioned or related directly or indirectly to Gabriel.

if you follow a government's instructions, you should logically follow the last updated regulations. similarly, if you believe that all messengers are all sent by god, you should follow the last update message. of course with believing in all of the messengers sent by the same god. Islam is just this simple.

The miracles that each prophet performed was a skill well known in the people they were sent to. In prophet Moses time, magicians were the most skillful and the miracles given to prophet Moses superseded the magicians' skills. In prophet Jesus time, they had advanced medical skills and prophet Jesus came with medical miracles that at the time the people couldn't cure such as blindness and leprosy. In prophet Muhammad's time, it was poetic supremacy of the Arabic language and prophet Muhammad was given the quran which could never be duplicated linguistically and was far superior to any poetry. May Allah's peace blessings be upon all of them.

In Quran God says you will be tested, many times. Surah Al-ʿAnkabūt (29:2–3) addresses how people will not be left to simply claim belief without being tried: "Do the people think that they will be left to say, 'We believe,' and they will not be tested? And We certainly tested those before them. So Allah will surely distinguish those who are truthful and those who are liars."

God don’t interfere because 1- he has given humans freewill and 2- its a test. He has mentioned all the rules of does and don’t with consequences. Let us make choice!

Receiving guidance is different from acting on that guidance. Israelites received guidance and witnessed Allah sovereignty yet they worship the calf. Obviously, disagreement and fighting may always ensue.

Jessica, the distinction you explained is so important: “We make no distinction” (2:136) means we believe in all God’s prophets without accepting some and rejecting others. God favoring some above others (2:253) concerns the honors He gave them. Accepting them all doesn’t mean they all had the same rank. There’s a story that brings this home. A Muslim slapped a Jewish man during an argument about Muhammad and Moses. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ responded, “Do not give me superiority over Moses” (Bukhari 2411). Ibn Kathir discusses this under 2:253 as a warning against turning those comparisons into quarrels. Someone thought he was defending his prophet’s honor, but the prophet himself corrected him. That connects beautifully to your final question: how does what we believe shape how we treat people? ❤️

The "non-discrimination" among the messengers, as intended by the Quran, pertains solely to the act of belief—meaning that we believe in all the prophets without exception. However, some prophets are superior to others. For instance, there are the "messengers of firm resolve" (*ulu al-‘azm*), who are five in number and hold a higher status than the rest of the prophets. They are: Muhammad, Jesus, Moses, Abraham, and Noah—peace be upon them all. Among all the prophets, the most excellent is the Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.

in islam, this life is a test. god sent his messengers and left the free will to people to believe in him and doing good things or not ,and in the day of jugement he will judge berween them. so who believed in him and did good things will be in heaven and and the others in hell. it s why god say: if allah willed they would not have fought each other (because of free will). and if there is no free will there can not be a jugement
