Some kits also use “easy yarn” that behaves differently from traditional acrylic yarn, which may make transitioning to other projects more challenging. Plus, kits aren’t always the most economical option! ~~~~~~~~ •Why I recommend learning flat crochet first: Starting with basic stitches and simple projects helps you build muscle memory, understand stitch placement, and become comfortable with your hook and yarn before introducing more complicated techniques. It gives you a foundation to build on. :) ~~~~~~~ 💕 But, crochet kits absolutely have their place. I believe many are better suited for advanced beginners who already understand the basics and are ready for a new challenge. Everyone learns differently, and some people may do great starting with a kit.
