Maybe ISAIAH is also renting somewhere where he is spending money. So this is not a clear example

I don’t agree with your lecture because even if you live there your home equity is a portfolio.

Isiah still has to live somewhere else and pay rent and mortgage and by being a landlord you are fully responsible for upkeep and repairs which can be expensive

Isaiah is homeless? How much equity is in each house?

My guy, great lesson, but a house is an asset whether you live in it or rent it out. I get that rental properties bring in additional income, but your primary residence can also build equity over time. The difference is that one generates rental income while both have the potential to increase in value. And regardless of whether it’s a rental or your primary home, the owner is generally responsible for major repairs and upkeep, like the roof, water heater, etc

so professor some people listening to you may hear this as you saying don't purchase a home. A simple explanation of buying to invest or buying to own could clear this up. We all need a place to stay so should they buy or rent? 🤔

you are wrong on this one... your kid needs to unlearn this, house is an asset regardless of staying in it or renting it

When it comes to owning a property you'll never lose... Isaiah may own a property but if he chooses to leave his own house to go rent it will make zero sense, no profit. Cameron at the end wouldn't have to pay a rent when he fully owns the home and in future he can also rent out part.

You are not comparing apples to apples. You did not tell the details of before having people pick. You controlled the answer by not sharing everything

Well it can become an asset when Cameron sells and if he buys his home in a high cost living area in a good area with shortage of homes such as NJ NYC Boston MA.

And after sometimes, Isaiah's house become deprecated with a rent value not more than $2,000
While Camron fully settled his all due money, and owned the house, thus rent it with monthly rent valued $4,500.
