Anime was already huge in the west well before Naruto. Dragonball Z, SailorMoon, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Gundamwing were all hugely popular in the west well before Naruto. I don't know anyone that Naruto was their first Anime.

You can't specifically say 1 anime being influential by decades because especially the 90s, you got sailormoon popularized magical girl and battle shoujo, YuYu Hakusho made the already feasible battle shounen Popular for it's story telling and battle mechanics after Dragon ball influence, Pokemon made a name for it's anime medium and made the game more popular resulting to being the best selling franchises of all time the 2000s are even on different scale, as each specific genre became much more prominent in the following decades, Like the harem, RomCom and Mecha series.

I know people like to shit on it but SAO was the pivotal anime that catapulted isekai anime into the mainstream that is still having effects to this day.

I would argue Pokemon should take the 90s and pick the most popular Isekai for 2010s. I don't know enough about JJK to give an opinion on 2020s. The rest I 100% agree with.

DBZ definitely popularized anime in the west well before Naruto. DBZ got me on Yuyu, Cowboy Beebop, inuyasha, G Gundam etc all before the big three were a twinkle in their creators eyes.
