Have been with the same ems agency for nearly 9 years. New director came in a year ago. All the sudden I was the problem, along with many others from the old management. Never once has my pt care or skill been questioned. Had multiple praises from hospitals and patients. Apparently no one can work with me because I’m “too difficult”. I quickly found out standing up for good coworkers instead of shitty ones was the problem. I finally resigned a few weeks ago and it’s been a weight off my shoulders.

This is great. Except they don’t need a reason to get rid of you. You could be a superstar and they could say bye bye. HR does not care. The only recourse is a lawyer.

That happened to me. Nearly ten years with a company and within one year of a new mgr … I was booted. HR refused to listen to anything I said about retaliation or that particular mgr didn’t like me and they did what they did.
