as a european kid I never cared about that. aang has white skin so to me he was „white“ since I never thought of skin colour as an ethnicity. To me it was just a color and thats it. So I never cared as a kid and I don‘t care now. The avatar could be brown or black too, idc (for context: in my country we typically don‘t use the term „white“ to decribe someones ethnicity. instead of saying white, we‘d say „croatian“, „french“ or whatever. also we don‘t refer to peoples ethnicity as „race“ bc GENETICALLY there are no different human races. We‘re genetically too similar so we can‘t be distunguished like dogs)
