@donaldjackson6342: LeBron James Trades Words With Knicks Fans Before Leading The 76ers To A Win In His Debut LeBron James had a heated night at Madison Square Garden, and the 76ers walked away with the win. On Tuesday, Oct. 20, James, 41, made his regular-season debut for Philadelphia against the Knicks. It was the Knicks’ home opener, when players received their championship rings and unfurled the banner. During the second quarter, James was seen exchanging words with a fan, according to social media clips. “Ain’t nothing soft in the Midwest,” he appeared to say. “I’m not from the West Coast. I’m from Ohio.” NBC’s Mike Tirico said fans may have been taunting him over his helicopter commute from New York City to Philly. Later, at the free-throw line, fans chanted “We don’t want you.” The chirps appear to stem from James’ past remarks. He told ESPN last month that he once envisioned finishing his career with the Knicks. James signed a two-year, $8 million deal with Philadelphia over the summer after eight years with the Lakers. In the end, the 76ers won 106-100. James stayed gracious afterward. “It is a great night for New York fans, 50-plus years,” he told reporters. He said the fans “will never forget this moment.” Do you think the Knicks fans went too far? #LeBronJames #Player #Knicks #NBA #MadisonSquareGarden
