AI didn't find it, PHP did, DECADES AGO. They thought nobody would be able to exploit it, then a security audit two years ago found it (without LLMs) and they said it would be too onerous to fix, still didn't believe anyone could exploit it. And here we are today, LLMs have allowed people to easily use the exploit, so they panic patch it. The problem is always humans.

Let’s be honest AI “finding it” is generous. It took work from other security researchers and just ran it at a higher volume than they could. Same thing with the recent math problems ai “solved” given enough time or human resource serious researchers woulda found this
