girl i was numb for so long, his daughter telling me to leave her dad because I didnt deserve to be treated like that woke me up. I got out but the amount of trauma he caused will forever make it hard

I always said, "If a friend EVER spoke to me this way, they would never be my friend again." Why do we allow this in relationships though? Second chances, third.. fourth.. fifty...etc.... Patterns we need to change.
