At times, I wondered whether I was watching a murder trial or an audition for a judicial documentary. And can we discuss how often the defense seemed to encounter Sullivan’s favorite courtroom accessory? THE FCKING DENIED BUTTON. Motion? Denied. Objection? Overruled. Another defense request? Here comes the judicial buzzer. Obviously, not every defense request deserves approval. But after watching repeated unfavorable rulings, I’m entitled to question whether the defense received meaningful consideration. And now? Reddington wants allegations about the holdout juror investigated. DENIED. AGAIN. Several jurors reportedly raised concerns. The holdout disputes them. Apparently, examining those competing accounts is a bridge too far. HOW FCKING REASSURING. Yes, jury confidentiality matters. Yes, legal standards apply. But protecting judicial integrity should never look like protecting the institution FROM scrutiny. I’m not alleging corruption. I’m questioning the demeanor, the decisions, and the appearance of institutional defensiveness. A black robe isn’t immunity from criticism. Three children are dead.
