My grandma went to school in LA, and they used to have smog days where the air was so dirty that they couldn’t go to school. I understand that people don’t agree with paying extra, but it’s not just taxes. We actually have our own special formulation for gasoline in California that reduces emissions.

Gas prices are influenced by MULTIPLE factors, not just who’s governor! 🙄 Global oil prices, international conflicts, refinery costs, corporate profits, state and federal taxes, and California’s cleaner-burning fuel standards ALL play a role. A governor cannot single-handedly control gas prices or eliminate taxes. And a temporary $3 gas promotion doesn’t mean that price is sustainable statewide. Let’s talk about actual policies and economics instead of pretending one politician controls the pump. ⛽️
