This is an opportunity to teach children gratitude, contentment and to stop comparing themselves to others from a young age. Instead of asking parents to provide the same lunch as everyone else, let’s teach children to appreciate what they have and respect differences. Children have different allergies, dietary needs and food preferences. Equality doesn’t mean sameness, and not everything should be solved by giving in to comparisons.
