@angielynn992: My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer at 61. She had chemo and a mastectomy. She lived and made it through. I was on my own at 17 and saw her a few times through the years. We saw each other in 2010 and I would not see her again until she had fallen and was in the hospital in April 2026. At this point she had Alzheimer's about three years starting in 2023 so she really didn't recognize me. Even though we didn't visit often we talked on the phone so she knew my voice and some memories came back. We found out two weeks later she had a collapsed lung and we went to see her again. In May the test showed cancer had come back to her lung and spread. She was then at home in hospice care. Around May 20th she fell again this time breaking her hip. We went to visit again and it felt like it was so fast, she faded a bit each day. It was excruciating to watch her decline. She was 77. I don't have a lot of photos of us together but this one is my favorite. I miss her so much. If you have a chance to see your family do so before it's to late. None of us are promised tomorrow. Her name was Jo Ann.
