On 15 March there is a way to stop the city from being a hub for wars, because MERA25 Frankfurt runs a campaign for an affordable and peaceful Frankfurt in the local elections. MERA25 does not allow the manufacture of weapons of war and armaments on Frankfurt soil. We will instruct the officials at the municipal weapons authority to stop issuing new licences for weapons production and to revoke existing permits. Frankfurt also is a central hub for the international arms trade due to its airport. We will prohibit their export by instructing the employees of the arms authority not to issue any ‘general transfer licences’ to sellers.
