@playoffculture: The post-LeBron James era in Los Angeles tipped off with absolute fireworks as the new-look Lakers dismantled the Golden State Warriors 127 to 105 at Crypto.com Arena. Ushering in a fresh identity under head coach JJ Redick and new franchise maestro Luka Dončić, Los Angeles made an emphatic opening-night statement, showcasing a retooled squad of nine new faces that ran Golden State’s aging core completely off the floor. After an electric first quarter featuring eight lead changes and ten quick points from Stephen Curry, the Lakers completely took over with suffocating defense and ruthless transition offense. Forcing 16 turnovers into 25 fast-break points, Los Angeles shot a blistering 56.8% from the field while clamping the Warriors to a miserable 22.2% from three-point range. Luka Dončić commanded the floor with 28 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, and five triples (+31), while new center Walker Kessler was pure perfection inside, going 12-of-12 from the floor for 26 points, nine boards, and two blocks alongside Austin Reaves’ 23 points. The lead exploded to as much as 35 points as the Lakers surpassed the century mark before the third quarter even ended, reducing the final frame to pure garbage time. While Golden State faces serious rotational depth concerns without Brandin Podziemski, Los Angeles instantly validated its aggressive summer rebuild. Did the Lakers just prove they are more dangerous than ever with Dončić at the wheel? #lakers #losangeleslakers #lalakers #doncic #NBA
